Steam Cleaning the Carpet?

Hello to all, I will be taking all of my interior out to put in some Dynamat hopefully soon. Thought it would be a good idea to have the carpet cleaned up.
I suppose my question is it better to have it cleaned while still in the vehicle or laid out somewhere? I will not be cleaning it, I will be finding someone that has a business of cleaning carpets and such.
I was just thinking it would be a good idea to drop off the carpet to have it cleaned while I'm at home pounding out the Dynamat.
Any thoughts or insight would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bobby

Yes it would be easier for whomever is cleaning the carpet and probobly cheaper for you in the long run to have it cleaned while its out of the truck

I would vaccuum the carpet while it is out. Then rent a rug doctor or something similar and clean it yourself. Then let it dry for a day and then reinstall. Over all you most likely will be saving yourself money.

I use a pressure washer on my mats. I was surprised the first time I used my pressure washer on my oil stained mats because when I finished and they were dry, they looked like new. If you take it to a car wash to do it, put it on the soap setting first, then rinse it and you'll be amazed.

Yeah, it would be cheaper in the long run to have it done while its out of your truck. Plus they will be able to get everywhere on the carpet opposed to just the open area while its in the truck. Plus, you can try it yourself first & if its not to your standards you have more options of places to take it to have it cleaned & im sure you can find a good price that way also.

There are also powder carpet cleaners that work well also, you vacuum the carpet, sprinkle some of this cleaner on it, work it in with a brush, let it dry and vacuum again.

If you do steam clean your carpet, make sure it is really dry before you reinstall it.
