I am running a stainless steel 8ft whip mounted to a spring load mount. I have 1to1 with the engine off. Engine running I have 1.5to1.8. In my opinion no other antenna is better then the big old 8ft stainless steel whip.

Yep the 102" whip is an oldie but a goodie... I dont have one becuase it would look good on my blazer so i went with a Wilson 5k. BUT, if i get my PSD this summer i just may head to Rat Shack and pick one up (with the 6" spring)...
