In my opinion a basic 40 channel radio I would go with a Uniden 29ltd classic with a K40 or Wilson 1000 antenna. If you want more then the standard 40 channels then I would go with a RCI2950 or for a little more power RCI 2970 with an 8ft stainless steel antenna.
