It's not hard to do. There is a trim kit you should get and it's just a matter of shaving a bit of plastic around the opening.

Yep, I did it in mine too, I don't have a picture of it right now, but I put a JVC unit in, and it didn't need a trim kit, fits perfect and fills the whole space up

i may be late to the party with this reply but check out crutchfield.com. when you purchase a head unit from them you get absolutely everything you need to get it fitted and wired into your vehicle.

Yeah, Crutchfield.com is awesome for that, I got the one for my f-150 there, but I was able to find the new one for the SD for about $150 cheaper on amazon, wasn't worth the extra to me, especially because the previous owner had already chopped the factory harness off

thanks yeah i get the crutch field mag. thats where i got my radio for my 97 f150 i had a problem with the radio i got it was missing a button i just wanted the part because it popped right in but they sent me an upgraded radio plus told me to keep the old one really great service
