Keyless entry upgrade

Hey, my truck is a lariat with electric locks. How hard is it to add a keyless entry system?

I'd like to have a remote to unlock the doors.

You should already have the system in place, all you need is a remote which you can get on ebay pretty cheap. One way to make sure you are set up already, turn your key to 'run' (not far enough to crank the engine) and then back off. Do that 5 times in a row quickly, and leave it on the 5th time. your door locks should lock then unlock. This means you are in the programming stage for the remotes and your set to go. When you get your remotes, do the same thing, after the lock/unlock, press the lock button on your remote and it will program it!

I went the ebay route and they work fine. although it is 8 cycles of the ignition key to enter programming mode. once in programming mode, you have to hit one button (doesn't matter which button) on every fob you want to program. you can get either the three or four button remotes. I got the four button remote thinking it would work on just the rear hatch, but that is not the case.

is that for one remote fob?! horizon ford quoted me something like $60 and that was even to much.
