sloppy auto shifter?

my 1999 f350 crew cab dually automatic shifter on the column is real sloppy feeling ,what do I need to replace?I know take it apart and see what needs replaced .I was hoping someone else had experienced this same problem.

Here's where I'd start (mostly because it's free )

Look up above the brake pedal for where the cable that goes to the trans connects to the shift tube. The end of that tube has an arm on it attached by two torx bolts. Those two bolts are Always coming lose. If you're lucky, all you'll have to do is to tighten them...

man you gotta love youtube .thanks for the info ,it don't look like to bad of a job,considering I just rebuilt the front end this weekend ,both ball joints ,tie rod ends ,drag link and new shocks
