Power mirrors don't work

Ever since I got the truck my power mirrors haven't worked properly. First I checked the fuse and it is ok. It is odd they will sometimes work but in only one direction, like they will only go out or come in but you can't get them set where you want them because they will quickly stop working again. Thanks for any input.

Replace the switch. Took care of my issue.

take the switch out, dissassemble it and clean all the contacts. My mirrors didn't work for over a year after I bought the truck, I finally took it apart, cleaned it and they work excellently now. Its free so might as well try it.

Was the switch expensive and was it hard to put in? It is good to see some other guys from NC on here.

I had to do this on one of my other vehicles and it fixed the problems, but it was power door locks. Was it hard to get into and what did you clean it with contact cleaner?

Not hard at all. Switch just pops apart, I used a small pick and scraped the contacts clean and sprayed with brake cleaner.

Can't remember off the top of my head. I'd try cleaning it first, couldn't hurt.

What part of NC you in?

I tried cleaning it this weekend and it worked momentarily but then stopped, I guess I need to replace the switch. I live in Lexington between Charlotte and Greensboro how far are you from me?
