Hey I have a 2001 7.3L Excursion. Im looking to install a Pioneer AVH-P8400 BH head unit w/ amps and speakers etc..... Is there a special wiring harness I will need to achieve this??? Thanks in advance.

Yeah: Just go to walmart and buy it... THere will still be some crimping you will have to do but not on the truck wiring itself.

Probably going to need an install kit and a pac adapter if you radio controls and want to keep em.Not sure you know either that there are six speakers
in the ex.I found after I was putting the rear door speakers in.

Lol I did know there were 6 speakers, I just replaced all 6. Is there a specific wiring kit I need. And whats a PAC adapter? Btw I don't have any stearing wheel controls either.

Pac adapter is an electric unit that plugs into power and ground and allows you to keep. Stock functions or add on. On my ex I kept my radio controls and if I wanted but didn't use it allows the use of the rear radio controls too. In my vette i have one that plugs into the cd changer harness that i use the ipod in the aux position or add an amp and sub. Their pretty handy.
