Center Console Latch Broken

Hi,

I am the proud new owner of a 2002 F250 Supercab Shortbed truck. I recently went to open the center console that is the seatback of the middle jump seat and the plastic latch broke. After calling several dealerships I found 1 that quoted me approximately $25 for the new latch piece. My question is this; does anyone make a metal latch to replace the plastic one? The plastic one seems pretty flimsy and prone to breaking again. If not, does anyone know of any other place where I can find a replacement latch for less?
