factory keyless entry..

Is there anyway to find out if my 2003 f350 came factory wired or setup for keyless entry? Would i just need to buy the remote and program it? Its an XLT and has power locks, when i bought it used and was given one key no remotes..

Yea you can go on amazon or something and buy the remotes for six or seven bucks...I was looking at them the other day. Program instructions are pretty easy too.

I was in the same situation with my 2000 F250 xlt as you. No key fobs. I went to ebay and bought one from someone called keygirl, but there are lots others on there. I think it was around $5. It programmed up and worked great.

if it didn't come with keyless originally you may not have the proper GEM module

what exactly is a gem module? could i swap in a new one equipted with remote keyless? or does it control more than just the locks? I have a ford factory keyless in a junk 2000 f150 thats sitting in my yard, i guess what im asking is can i swap it over?
And is there any other way to tell for sure that i do not have keyless besides cycling the ignition 8 times? I just want to be sure.
