There's more to it than just the window switch. Not sure if it is controlled by the gems or just a relay but basically the switch picks up a relay which is held on until something senses that the window is all the way down dropping out the relay. What senses the window is all the way down could be a micro switch or torque switch.

Try it
![]() But like the coot said, it's probably not just in the switch. Other relays and switches control the auto feature. |

I may be wrong but i think the relay is the same. I think it's the switch and the window regulator that control the auto down feature. The only part of the switch that is different is the auto down one has a third position, up, down, and extra click down(auto feature) Im almost sure i read that somewhere on another ford forum, but don't hold me to it..

Not sure about that but you can get a module from DEI called a 530t this would allow auto up and down on two windows

I just had a window switch apart this morning. There are 2 circuit boards inside the switch that work in conjunction with the rocker switches. There are only 6 wires on the one I had apart. It's a 2 door 2003 F250. If there is no wiring for the auto down in the passenger door, I doubt if just adding a switch would help.
