Seat swap?

Alright. did a search came up with a little info but just wanted to see if anyone has done this.

The seats in my 02 are in decent shape but as anal as i am ive been looking into a newer seat swap. I like the material, feel etc better. Plus i like the rear fold out metal tray option on the 05+ truck. Ive been looking and have come across a 2010 rear seat. I am just curious as to if the front and rear benches would be a direct swap into my truck. I have an xlt with power driver/pass seat.

I saw a guy that swapped 11' kind ranch seats into an 06 so im assuming 1999-06 trucks should be the same.

Possibly different wiring setup? any help would be

I'm in the same boat too! My driver seat is so wore out my wife can't see to drive anymore! I think there is some difference in the rear seats, might have to get some hardware from Ford. Where are you getting "new" seats? I'm having a heck of a time, and might just go get mine re-upholstered!!

Yes you can swap in any year seats. I ended up picking up a set of power front and rear bench seats from an 07 and got them installed. The front lined up perfect. The rears i had to drill 2 additional holes because the 99-04 rear bench in a one piece bench where as later years it splits as a 06/40 bench that folds up. Wasnet very hard to do though. I just sourced factory bolts with the rubber coating over the heads that way it would match since you see them. Drilled a hole in the floor and used a nut on the underside of the truck to secure. Took less than an hour to swap all the seats in.

I just swapped an entire 2006 interior into my 2000 this last weekend. dash and all. wiring harness IS different for power seats but they didnt change the color coding of them so I simply spliced them and all the power works great. very simple.
