power door locks

when i hit the lock button on my truck the drivers door doesent lock, an the passenger side you have to hit it 3 or 4 time to ge tit to. Linkages in the door are all connected, would that mean the actuators

same thing going on with my 01, door lock actuator is out, it works when it wants to. Just get a couple from ford or even on ebay and just replace one at a time.

A ford tech here locally told me that you can replace them without taking the whole lock assembly out which is a good thing. Just got to have some patience he told me. LOL

good squirt of CRC may free them up, did for mine ?

There's a bunch of threads on here regarding the subject. Its a little metal conductor that usually wears out. Here is the link for the fix. All that is required is aluminum foil and patience. Did it to all four of mine when they went out and they now work. Good Luck!
