door panel
dumb question but how do you remove the door panel? trying to change my mirrors and need to remove the door panel to disconnect the wires.
also, is there normally a switch for heated mirrors or do they come on at a set temp? my truck is a 2000 lariat and the mirrors i bought are from a 2000 X. |

K - I thought there were some too.
Try this. Pull on the black wedge at the front of window. Should just pull out. Lift up on the front edge of the switch panel and pull out of the way. If you have power door locks there will be one screw in the door panel in line with the door lock switch. The other screw is inside the door marker light. With a flat blade screwdriver remove the lens. One end has a place to put the screwdriver. Unplug the wiring harness from the switch plate. Grab the door grab handle and lift. It should come right off. If you want...while you're doing this, maybe since there aren't any pics you could document it. Just a suggestion. |

Careful when you are pulling the panel up, if you have lights in the door you will need to reach down and disconnect them. I find it is easier to just twist the hold socket and pull it from the door rather than pulling the plug.
