Head unit repair

A buddy from work gave me a Kenwood DNX7100 head unit, He was taking his stereo out of his totaled car (deer hit). He said he touched some wires together in the trunk and now the head unit doesnt turn on, the only electronics shop in my area that repaired car audio just closed two months ago. So Im wondering if any of you know of a repair shop that I could send it to?

is there any light on it to indicate power whatsoever?
how did you check power? was it still in the car or did you have a battery that you just hooked it up to.
if you tried seeing if it worked in the car then it could be a blown fuse.

I haven't hooked it up yet, but I'm really hopping it was just a blown fuse. I was just trying to get a head start on finding a repair shop for it, I don't have high hopes for it working lol
