Should not cause any problems. If it solved your problem and it disengages your good to go. If it does rub any, it will wear down in that spot and then it will no longer rub.

is it rubbing when the a/c is disengaged? I can see that being a issue. If it is not rubbing and your issue is solved then you are good to go.

Mine "rubbed" before when it was disengaged as it does now. it does not spin when the ac is disengaged.

Is 44 degree's "normal" with ambient air at 90. This was at night city driving (stop and go). This is much better than 60-65 before removing the washer.

thanks

same problem here. the problem has progressively gotten worse. i used to be able to run rpms up to 2000 rpm and the compressor would lock in. now it is only for a short time and back off again. the problem i am having is not the pressure switches and the compressor is working fine when getting power. i traced it back to i believe the pcm. i just wired the clutch hot back by the blower motor and i will check further. there has to be some sort of silinoid or something around there. ill keep in touch.
