Console Swap

Well I went to the junk yard to get a new door latch mech for my van, when I spotted an F250. Went to look at it for parts, but it was stripped when I noticed an Expedition next to it. Peeked in and saw the center console and though, hmm that might fit. So I asked them how much, they said $20. So I ripped it all out, except for the rear mount, just couldn't get it out and it was like literally 5* out so I said screw it I'll just make one. It had all the heater stuff and controls so I ripped those out and sell them and easily make my money back. All I keep in the back seat is tools, so no point in wiring all that in. The only thing wrong with it is that it is missing the drivers side side pocket thing and its the narrow one, not the wide one, but what do you want for twenty bucks?

I took out the control knobs and the vents, and patched them in with sheet metal I had laying around. Painted flat black. My goal is to spend as little as possible on this, so I'm just using all crap I have laying around. I kept the cigarette outlet in the rear of it, which I'll wire in just because it already exists.
I added some red leds I had to light up the cup holders and pocket so I can see them at night, and I'll also be putting an white led strip I have inside the console to light it up at night.

Starting point. I need more room for **** than this jump seat gives me, and I'll never use it. (will be for sale when I'm done.)

When I first got it, it was very dirty. This is before a Purple Power bath.

Here are the LEDS, test run off my bike bat.

More to follow.

Pictures are gone! I am installing a 2003 F-150 King Ranch console in my 2005 F-350 Lariat along with my Super Duty King Ranch seat swap. Wouldn't mind seeing how you got an expedition console mounted in a Super Duty!

SSAMSON,
How much if I may ask and where did you find a King Ranch set of seats? The ones I find on Ebay are $2K or more! Plus shipping!
Thanks

Local classifieds! You just have to get lucky, but it's worth checking out the local junkyards too.
