Remote Locks.

Is there a way to tell whether my truck came from the factory with a remote lock option. I bought it used so I have no idea. It is a 2000 CCSB if that makes a difference.

Mine has box for the keyless entry behind the fuse panel under the dash. It's not even mounted, just flops around in there. It does say Ford on it, but it looks like a dealer installed item on my truck. You might look under the dash and see if you can find a box. I forget what exactly it says on it but you'll know it when you see it.

Just cycle the key on/off 8 times and see if the doors lock and then unlock. If so, you have factory keyless and just need a remote.

I've never seen one not cycle the locks. Maybe yours is the blacksheep.
