overhead console 02

i have a 02 f250 lariat,my problem is the overhead console that has the screen that gives you the temp outside and direction your heading doesnt work,it did pop on a couple weeks back for about 10 seconds but was real dim,anyone got a fix for this issue?

To solder the chip back in place I used a curcuit board pen from Radio Shack. It's for making the lines on a circuit board but it works as a glue to hold it in place and it's made out of silver so it's as good as solder.
