Middle seat to Console Questions

Hey,

So i picked up a police console from our old chief's truck, a 97ish expedition. I want to remove my middle seat and put this is. I wont have any pics till the weekend but im sure it can be done. I dont know what do about armrests tho. is there a way i could take out the seat part and leave the backrest/storage thing? I think it would be sweet if I could do it and have a nice spot for switches and a siren
