High beams/switch problem
So I recently bought a 1999 f250 and it seems to have some minor electrical problems.
My bulbs used to suck, so I'd use the high beams a lot on the highway (pushed forward so they'd stay on). But when I'd use the turn signals or go to turn the high beams off, all the headlights would shut off unless I jiggled it again. That was fine, I just had to be careful. Now when I turn the headlight switch to the second position, the lights are all good, but no high beams when the switch it pushed forward but they work if i pull the stalk towards me. If I turn the headlight switch to the third position, I get no lights at all. I figured it must be the signal/high beam/wiper switch that must be buggered up so I ordered a brand new one (I hear the relay click when I push the high beams forward). Is this a common electrical problem? Are there other areas I could check? Thanks! |

Man I wish you would have posted before ordering the switch. I have the multi function switch brand new in the box. I would have hooked you up with a good deal.

just bumping this up as I seem to have been screwed over ebay and still havent received my switch.
Any other ideas or am I right about the switch? I was thinking of ordering a GOS performance heavy duty headlight harness w/relays, wondering if that would solve anything? |
