I want to turn off interior lights manually

Has anyone figured out how to turn the cab lights off manually, did you replace the dimmer swithch with a newer one that has the off position?

I want control over the lights and be able to turn them off instead of the timer.

Thanks

Patrick

Try this.
To Change the delay time of the autolamp feature, do the following:
1. Start with the ignition in OFF and the autolamps selected
2. Deselect the autolamps
3. Put the ignition in Run
4. Rut the ignition in OFF
5. Select the autolamps. Steps 2 through 4 must be performed within a 10 second period. At this point, the headlamps and parking lamps will turn on.
6. Deselct the autolamps after the desired autolamp delay time (maximum of 3 minutes) At this point the headlamps and parking lamps will turn off.

See if that works. If you want to turn them off on step six just leave it in the position for a second or so....

It may work or it may not. This is from my 02 Manual

I dont think he was talking about the automatic headlights. Just the inside cab lights, if I am reading correctly. I would like to do the same thing. I like to listen to my stereo with the passenger door open and would like the light to shut off.
