hit road block on stereo install and amp wire running
alpine ida-x200 hu,metra harness and scosche adapter panel.ive pulled out the stock headunit and have the alpine fitted to the adpater but what the hell holds the adpater in place?im normally pretty handy with stereo stuff but im lost with this.im stopping for the night cause my next step after being stumped is throwing tools.
so i figure ill ask and start fresh in the morning. pics would be awsome as for the amp, what route do people normally take for running the wires? |

If your talking about the black piece that the radio sits in it should have clipc on it and itll snap into the hole in the dashpanel. I usually run my wires along the side under the step panels. If you know what I mean..

Not sure what you ment by adapter, I installed car audio for years.
If the adapter that mounts the headunit, it should bolt right in. If it's not clear how it's done it may be possible you have the wrong kit. I just read you have the sorche kit... They are junk.., take it back and get the metra adapter and that should solve your problems |

x2 on the wire routing by the kickpanel.. i managed to stuff a 4g. wire in there(drivers side) and ran the rca cables and remote turn on on the passengers side. grounded to the rear seat mount, where seat bolts to floor of truck

do you have an amp hooked up? if so, did you hook up the remote wire from the head unit to the amp?
if not are you sure the your speaker wires are hooked up the same, + to + and - to - ?? |

up and bumping lol
well its about 90% done at this point.i have a 0awg running off the battery to a 0in/dual 4awg out fused block. ran 4awg to the amp and the other port runs to a 4awg in/quad 8awg out. this is for the offroad lights and any other assor. using new battery terminals to aid in the adding of new wires, plus it really cleans up the battery area.
basically its similar to what i did in my sti. |
