Mine had one that "Clips" to the front of the back seat right behind the center console of the front seat. The seat I think has 2 studs that stick out and it just slides over. I removed mine and just threw it behind the rear seat as I didn't want it to break with all the stuff I haul in my truck. I have a crew cab, so I don't know if the extended cabs are the same or not. My dad's crew cab has a spot for one, but it appeared the studs were broken off - I may even be bass ackwards, come to think of it the studs may come off of the cupholder itself and slide into the seat. I honestly can't remember right now.

I have been trying to figure this out as well. I have an 02 crew cab and need to figure out how to get some cup holders in the back. Seems like I read the excursions had rear cup holders in their center console. Anyone verify this?
