I'm looking to put a CB in soon before I trip down to Florida, don't want to spend alot but what's a half decent one and how hard are they to install?

Cobra LTD 29 classic, search ebay or craigslist and you can find a good one under $80! They are the best around

cobra 29 or a galaxy.
Just be sure and set the SWRs as low as possible and youll be good to go. I have a 29, SWRs are .6-1 and i can talk for 50 miles or so |

I have a Cobra 19 Compact CB, it is nice and small to fit anywhere. Just get good antennas. Installing, it is just the power cable & coax. (Unless you have a external speaker, although the internal one is loud enough)
I also have a Midland 75-785 handheld transceiver, if you wanted something temporary just get a magnetic mount antenna and hook it onto a handheld unit or all-in-one. |

I also have a Cobra 29 LTD and it is a great CB for the price.

Well I managed to get a Radioshack CB for free from my boss the only issue is... powercords were cut, I have about 6 inches left of each... What cord do I need to splice these with? I plan on mounting underneath the slide out cupholder, and running the wires directly to the fusebox... Any good rec's?

Yeah, Im not looking forward to the antenna mount either, but I figure the CB will provide some entertainment when the radio gets boring, oh and the Bear reports come in handy too :-)
