I have infinity in the door panels. I like them. I had boston's in my old truck. Also good. I think the infinity's are better, but they're also 2yrs newer. I have one 8" JL sub. perfect for country or rock. I can turn it up so that it's more bass than I want, and it's got really fast response. door speakers run off the deck (would be better with another amp), 350 alpine amp for the sub. I like it. It's great if your looking for good, loud, clean sound

I just installed my system in my truck out of my GTP Sony head with 4v preouts, 2 Pioneer Premier 3way 240W 6x9's in the ext cab doors, 2 6 1/2" 180W Pioneer Premiers in the front doors, and 2 10" Pioneer dual voice coil subs in a ported bassworx box with a 1000W Kenwood Excelon amp..

I cut the rear doors to fit 6x9's and I made a filler to fit the 6 1/2" rounds up front.. I like the sound of the 6x9 and 6 1/2 combo.. the rear seat is a single seat now the sub box takes 2/3 of the rear seat.. but its also easy to remove if I need the extra space...

It is retardedly loud and I already have to reglue the rear view on it fell off while listening to Pantera..

does anyone have experience with putting an additional 6.5" in the doors and another 6x9 in the rear? i would like to make a sound machine for tailgating and for haning at the local race spot.

as far as subs go, i really like Resonant Engineering. they sound great at low volume and really romp when pushed (seen the rear window weather seal break off at 150dB)
