airbag light flashing

My airbag light is flashing a code 26. I have a passenger airbag shut off switch on my dash also and it does not light up. I cant seem to find out what the code means can you all help me out. Thanks alot.

I had the same problem, are you sure its not code 27. I replaced my switch and it took care of the problem. If the code is 26, I don't think the light on the switch would work because the airbag system isn't functioning. Good luck.

I am sorry the code is 27. So the switch on the dash to turn the passenger airbay off needs to be replaced.

Yes, there is a fix online to go to radioshack and replace the bulb. You have to solder it and hope it works, but I just went to the dealership, took 10 min to replace. Just disconnect the 2 negative battery terminals before messing with the airbag system.
