Door's ajar lite stays on.

02 SC The door's open lite stays on somtimes and locks don't work and radio stays on when you open the door and dome lite doesn't come on when you open the door. Where are the switches in the doors that activate these things.

I had the same problem. Fixed it with some WD-40. Just spray it in the latch and work the latch. You may have to repeat it a couple of times but it works good. The sensor is on the latch, inside the door.

Also, I forgot to mention, you need to make sure you wipe all the WD-40 over spray off any paint you get it on. It makes it a pain to clean if you dont get it right then.

Thanks fellas. I had thought the switch was probably in the latch and had squirted them with some silicon lube I had but it did nothing,so last night not having any contact cleaner I got out the old Gunscrubber out and gave them a good spray. Sprayed some slicone on them this morning and appear to be back in business. Thanks again.

The sensors are actually in the way of getting the actuators off of the latch assembly. Their on the very bottom of the latch. By the way, dont replace your actuators if they quit working. They can be repaired for pennies if you dont all ready have tin foil and some wire ties. The latch assembly comes out by removing the 3 screws that surround the latch in the door jamb. Not real hard to do, just time consuming. If you want instructions, I have them and the fix really works good. Did mine about 2 weeks ago.

brake parts cleaner seems to work a lot better for cleaning the latches and stuff. Doesn't really hurt the paint if you get it on it because it evaporates so fast. Also it doesn't leave a film all over everything you spray/overspray leading to dirt build up. You can go back after all the BPC has evaporated and shoot a little lubricant here and there on the necessary areas, vs all inside the door and on everything else.
