Radio is cutting in ,and out.
I had a Kenwood DVD Player in my 99 . The radio went nuts ,and I wound up replacing it with a pioneer Radio. The radio rocks but seems when I turn the volume up It cuts in and out. Radio is wired per all the info I could find. Ground is on a bolt in the dash. It almost seems like a skip or something but no matter what (radio ,ipod ,dvd). And if I keep the volume down it stays normal. It isn't just one speaker it is all of them. Any Ideas?
It's a Pioneer AVH P3100 All connections were soldered ,and heat shrunk. |

I have an AVH P4000 in my truck, and it's gotten the weird habit of deciding to die and stop working after usually going over a bump (not all the time though, it just sometime decides to go into hibernation, coming back as if it was fresh installed with the DEMO on)
It either dies for like 20 mins(I did have it off over a day, with multiple start up/shut off's), or just goes off and comec back on like it lost power for a second, but doesn't skip the song or reset the unit, like it does when it dies. I'm thinking faulty unit, becuase I had the same unit and wiring harness in my F150, and just transplanted it into my F350. I'm going to go over all my wiring, but I'm sure it's a deck issue, my stock CD player worked fine. Let me know any more details, I'm still working on this mystery,a nd maybe I can give you some clues to your problem. |
