cb radio help
hey guys. i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for cb radios...i got an old cobra classic cb radio that i think maybe tired and not working..i get a lot of static and mumbo jumbo...my antenna bracket is grounded...ive played with the squelch and RF adjustment and i rarely hear anything on the radio.. just static. any input? is it time to replace? thanks

I would google cb shops for your area. Have a good shop take a look at the radio. It maybe your antenna. It maybe the fact that your radio and antenna are not matched good. It maybe the radio. But those older Cobra's are hard to kill. So unless you have tweeked it. I doubt the radio is bad.
But if you have been using it with a bad match the filters in the radio maybe fried. |

yeah..the thing is an old timer and i got it for free..my dads neighbor had it layin around and he gave it to me. ill have to see who can tweek them. how are them galaxy radios? they have quite the price tag on them..
