Brake control box

On a 1999 SD is there a wiring harness in the cab, for a plug & play method with the brake control box, or do you have to hard wire it in?

I just installed a Tekonsha P3 brake controller this past weekend. I got a harness from my local hitch store for $8 and plugged it into that gray plug. It had pigtails on the other end with four wires (blue, black, white, and red). I just matched the wires up with the wires on the brake controller harness and walla, brake controller works. I will get some pics tomorrow for you. It was VERY easy to do, don't pay anyone to do it!

I just did mine with an adapter ordered on line for $15 including shipping. Discount Hitch in town wants $25 for the adapter plus $98 for labor to install it. That is before sales tax....
