Where do you put the stereo stuff?
Ok, so I have a bunch of car audio junk from my old extended cab S10 which I was able to hide a lot of stuff in. I gutted the fold up jump seats and hid the amps in there and stowed the speakers behind the seats. Now I've got an '03 F-350 regular cab so my options are kinda limited.
I've got a set of Kenwood component speakers that will probably fit in the door panels but I was also wondering if maybe kick panel boxes would be a good idea? Now, I haven't taken delivery of my truck yet (waiting for the paperwork to clear) so I haven't really looked, but is there ANYWHERE to put a sub in a regular cab? I had a 15" in my S10 so I guess that's out but I do have an old 10" laying around. Finally, is there room to bolt two amps down behind the seat? I'm not worried about using up the room because I'm planning on getting a nice big toolbox. I'm thinking of getting this Alpine head unit so that I can control my iPod from the head unit and not have to carry CDs around anymore. With that and Sirius I'll be set! If you found room to cram all that into a little S-10 ext. cab you will find room to cram all that into your PSD regular cab. Just gotta think about it and plan it out. May want to draw a diagram of your cab first. Then you can figure placement and basically draw yourself blue prints of the lay out. Have fun good luck and plan on a weekend to do the install.
