Need more seat belt tension. not recoiling all the way anymore

I need more tension on my seatbelt. I wanted to take apart my seat but I am woried of flying springs and parts. I want to make sure I can get it all back together.
Anyone tried to add more tension?

i wouldn't advise it, seatbelts are what saves you from flying through the windshield LOL, just replace the whole tensioner and belt assembly

Must be an '02 problem, you have to feed the belt back into the seat now...

Yep... looking online I see a few but will have to call before I drop $75 on a seatbelt

i got a 2002 also.. same problem.. it doesnt pull its self back in.. i gotta help it so it retracts all the way..

Ok I add some tension by removing the belt system and pulling the spring tension assembly off and tightening it a few more turns.
Took about an hour
Tools
a few small screw drivers to pry and pull and poke with.
T50 torks bit (star drive)
a small adjustable wrench to tighten the spring.
2 small drill bits to stick in the holes to stop the spring from unwinding.
small like 1/32" (.0325") or something similar

I pulled the top section off just to clean out all the fuzz and dirt.
that's the first few pics

=All you need to do is pull the back of the seat off. It is a plastic cover. Start at the top outside corner and push into the seat from the back then pull the corner out to the outside and that corner tab should release you can see it in the pics.
=Then the 2 at the top need to push in and then push down and pull out.
=From there you can see the one by the arm rest and maneuver the cover to get that one loose.
=The bottom is held in place by the plastic push bolts.

unbolt the tension assy.

the white and black spring assy. comes off by taking a small screw driver and sticking it up from the backside of the 2 fasteners and pushing the pin back out.
