Alpine+ipod problem
Well a while back my alpine CDA-9884 stopped working, no power at all, deck would do nothing, so i sent it back to crutchfield and they sent it back saying nothing was wrong....and of course it was working when i reinstalled it. I know i checked all of the plugs multiple times, so something WAS wrong. Heres the main issue, my ipod classic that was attached to the deck when it went out, is totally dead... battery holds a very small charge and the click wheel does not work.
I have since gotten a new ipod and a new computer, but i need to transfer my purchased music off my old ipod onto this computer. I cant get my computer, or any computer, to recognize the ipod so i can pull the music off. I could not find the proper place to post this, so i apologize if its in the wrong place. Anyone who is tech savvy please lend a hand!!! |

You When you sync another ipod, it should sync all of your purchased music.

Try taking the old iPod and booting it into disk mode.
Get it charged to the best of its ability. Use this article to boot it into disk mode. If this doesn't work, then I would... come up with some crazy idea like opening the iPod, taking out the flash drive, soldering the pins to the old cable and try to make it work like a USB Thumb Drive... but that's just theory ![]() Maybe Apple can do it for you? |
