Edge Evolution
I was looking at the Edge Evolution since its a programmer and has the digital vitals all in one. I know its not custom tunes but this would be for a truck that is strictly a street truck that pulls a 19 foot car trailer about once a month. So I'm just looking for something to play around with. Has anyone had any experience with it? Here is an ebay link to it that I've been looking at.

I've been looking around since I wan't some sort of chip/programmer. EVERYONE is saying to stay away from Edge. Apparently, they only tune the engine(and not well at that) and do nothing for the tranny. My brother has one on his 7.3 but he has a stick. I'm still gonna look at the Tony Wildman 6 Pos chip for mine.

i would still rather have a custom tuned chip over any of the edge products... but thats just me. and yes i have tried both the juice and the evo....

Ah yes I know. I'd love to have a TW chip but I just think that with me only using my truck as a daily driver, having a 475 dollar TW chip plus a 350-400 dollar set of gauges is going to be kinda useless for me.

What were the down falls of the evo other than just having basic canned tunes?

Check out Power Hungry Performance. I just had Bill do custom tunes on one of there gryphon programmers and it works great. Does everything the edge evolution does but you can have custom tunes. and he can write new ones and you can upload them from there server if you change anything or want a different tune.

yes with the edge you can adjust line pressure and shift points.... and thats where people get screwed up, you have to know how to have them set or your going to tear things up in a hurry!!
So if you know what your doing i dont think theres anythng wrong with edge as long as your not looking to get amazing results! |
