Bullydog Blues

Either I have the pyro in the wrong place or this bullydog chip makes stuff hot!

I drilled and tapped the pyro about an inch or so from where the manifold bolts to the turbo pipe. Ill try to get a picture later. Normal driving 55 Im running 580-620 and around 60-65 its around 700. At about half throttle with the chip turned up I can hit 1300 degrees easy. Is this in the "off the shelf tuning" or is this normal. I haven't floored it on extreme cause I dont want it to get hot. I can be running 550* on the pyro and just by switching the chip settings can heat the egts up 100 degrees.

This about right? Or No?

Well damn them tunes. I wouldn't have thought it would be that high with the dumped exhaust zoodad and the diy filter. Guess im looking at a reburn

What HP is that chip claimed to produce, my bullydog is a 70hp and i hardly ever see over 650 cruisin at 70-75mph. Im runnin a 5'' exhaust though too

i have the same prob with the stock turbo i have now.
i use to have the banks exhaust housing with bed head waste gate and the temps didn't get as high as they do now

before i had my custom chip my EGTs where HIGH with my Bully Dog, couldnt tow anything over 60MPH on the flats without hitting 1300*, now i can tow all day long at ???MPH and never hit 1300* (on my tow setting)

get rid of the bullydog and get some custom tunes. even on my race setting I can barely hit 1200 when I hammer on it pretty good

Yea I need to get some custom tunes but just cant foot it right now. I wonder if Tony reburns bullydog chips
