ported shroud = HP ?

I'm putting on a ported shroud to eliminate surge, the banks didn't do it by itself. the new shroud comes with a larger inlet. will it make my truck run better, you know, a little more power?

they dont add any power, at least none that you can feel in your seat

It wont add much power just you wont have any surge

No power gain, you just won't have to back off the go pedal. They sound good too.

And heres why. The ported housing does not add any air volume, it merely allows the volume already present to move with significantly less restriction/compression.
