Stage 2s and stock turbo
Can I run stage 2 injectors with new tuneing and my stock turbo? will this benefit me more than a bigger turbo with stock injectors..or should I just chill out and wait? thanks

For the time being, I'm running Stage 2 injectors with the stock turbo. I have no turbo issues, yet. With the cost of buying a bigger turbo, mine will be rebuilt first.
The bigger turbo allows more air into the intake, to mix with the extra fuel the stage 2 injectors are suppling. |

u can run them but u cant get on it too much..and they will add a good amount of power to your truck

chuck-I was looking to go with stage 2's but i had heard to that it will build to much boost? do you have an intercooler or anything like that? just curious as i would like invest in that first before i mod my injectors and have a problem

Your EGT's will go through the roof and you'll be blackin out intersections if you get on it, but yeah you can run that way.
I'd be willing to bet the extra drive pressure from the bigger injectors is gonna compound the surge issues though, and your turbo won't live too long

Yes, I've added an intercooler from a 2001 7.3. With cales tunes (tuned for stock injectors) 25-30 psi of boost. I try to get off the pedal when it gets that High, I cant afford to replace the turbo just yet. |
