Wicked Wheel help / Question

Just finshed installing my x- wheel (wicked wheel) and noticed that I did not connect the (EPBV) backpressure control rod to the control valve. Now I can not get the to to line up to connect the rod. Is there some trick to retending the rod or do I have to pull the turbo loose to get them connected?
Also wasn't there something about just leaving it unconnected? If so what is the best way to make sure it is open all the time?

You can leave it disconnected. It will not hurt anything . BUT If you want to reconnect the rod, It should just line right up, you do not need to remove the turbo to attach the rod
