Pre filter

Ok guys I did a DIY intake with a spectre filter from oriellys because napa was closed that day and I was bored. Just wondering where I can get a niice prefilter cover for it for the bugs and whatnot. Also about how much do they run? Thanks guys

that was a mistake. i had spectre on my truck for one day my brother told me it looked like it sucked dirt. so i took it off and smacked the end well what do you know dust/dirt came out of it im glad i only had it on for one day they are junk.

I would like to know also,as I also have a cold air induction system on my vette with two filters,will be watching this thread.

FilterCovers He goes by Pete but Thats not his real name.real nice guy and he will make whatever size you want and put whatever logo you want.He specializes in the afe and diy 6637 filters . Here is a pic of mine with the international logo.He also gives you some patchs should you rub a whole in it.

And also,I did several full throttle runs with and without my filter cover to see if it placed to much restriction on my airflow and would cause higher egts.I could not see any significant difference.I topped out at 1,350 egts everytime for about 4 seconds and it would start dropping again at 70mph

did you mean 1150 not 3150? I think the motor/turbo would be toast way before 3150 lol.
