max egt temp

all back together.and on extreme at the end of a drag my exhaust temp is 1525 before the turbo. is that to high or normal?

That extremely high. I dont know how bad it is for just a moment but I do know that it is way to hot to go for more then a second or too!

thats what the snow says .and after the turbo is 1200.i have a tw chip nothing but jet black the hole run.

1525 is ok as long as it's the end of the run. I wouldn't tow anything with it gettin that high. Sled pullers see 1600-1700 if they're turned up, and they drive home and come back the next weekend.

I'd probably try to keep it under a minute at over 1300, and under 30 seconds over 1400. I'd say anthing over 1500 is probably a 10 second window.

Bottom line, DON'T KEEP IT UP THERE. It's ok if it gets hot on pulls or drags. Just don't run it hot. Like towing...
