I get a good shot of smoke out of the 140 extreme/no smoke tune. and my trans seems to work fine with it. Wonder if there is a differance in the trans set up on the two tunes.

Gord.

I'm not sure if the tranny setup is different. It just seems like the tranny doesn't hook up in the lower gears, and it feels like its working the torque converter rather than the engine. I'm use to having the converter lock fairly quickly, in the other tunes I have it does. At 189k, maybe my tranny is just tired. Works great if your already going along pretty good, just from a dead stop it seems a bit too much.

there is no differance in the two tunes I don't think, however Jody burns each chip to the owners spec. he only knows what you tell him if you said you had trans mods and you don't then you may have problems. he burns the chip to coexist with yor mods to offer up the best performance and economy

I spoke with Jody about the different 140 tunes before I bought mine, and he said the only difference was the amount of fuel at tip in. The smoke/aggressive setting gets more fuel during tip in. Other than that everything else is the same. I purchased the standard "off the shelf" tunes which are designed for the stock tranny. I'm sure I could work with Jody to get this figured out, but it really isn't a big deal to me at this point.

It' like you said, the trans has some miles on it, and thats a bunch of power going through it. My trans is stock as well, I'm thinking about some mods for it, but I am not really an agressive driver, I just like to suprise people once in awhile.

Gord.
