www.dp-tuner.com

call Jody and talk with him. There are so many options, it gets confusing.

basically, 40 takes your truck from an ignorant lazy pig to a vehicle 3000 pounds lighter feeling and ups your mileage 10 percent or so.

60 is a GREAT all around single tune.

80 is the most fun as a daily driver. there are actually at least two versions of 80. One is an econo, another is a "performance." varaitions I believe are mostly in how tranny shifts.

120 is giggle land, but too much for daily driver. 140 is ONLY for big turbos/injectors.

DP-tuner has 110 percent satisfaction. They have the best customer service of any company I have ever heard of in any industry. Their marketing isn't probably the best, but the product is top notch quality stuff, and the service and willingness to stand behind it are second to none.

I have NEVER heard of anyone asking for their money back. You will NOT go back, or ever need to upgrade to another tuner.

Am I being too subtle? No one EVER goes from DP to something else. There are a LOT of guys that go from edge to SCMT, and are much happier. There are many of us that have upgraded from SCMT to DP and are much happier yet.

Hint hint.

I ran a guy 3 nights ago who had a 99.5 7.3, same body and cab config, and 35's like mine on smaller rims.....we were even after each of the 3 lights we went at. We stopped at a Mr. Fuel and I asked him what he had and he told me he had a Jody's dp-tuner, k&n and exhaust. I ran him on my 140 setting on my TS chip. So i'm gonna say the Jody's chip is pretty good. But I don't think it is any worse or any better than the TS that I have.

If it were mine, and I had an automatic, the first thing I would buy would be a tranny temp gauge taht worked with real numbers and everything. If you have a temp gauge stock, it doesn't count. cost is 100 bucks or something.

second would be pyrometer. cost is 150 or so.

to do it all over again, I'd still do the homemade tymar for 50 bucks. As good as any intake out there. For sure it is noisier then some, so if you don't like intake noise, bad choiice.
Third thing would be walker BTM, and get the clamps. cost, installed, is about 100 bucks.

so far, yo have spent 400 bucks, and have no more performance then bone stock.
How much money do you have left? If I only had anohter 100 bucks, I'd probably go for the 60 horse PCM reprogram from Jody.

if I had 325 bucks left, I'd get a 4 position tune. Stock or high idle just cuz, 40, and 80 and 120.

60 is a great compromise, With an EGT, and a big trailer in a headwind, you will probably have to back out of it a bit on occasion. Not a huge deal.

A 40 you could tow pretty much anything anytime anywhere and never have to back out.

But 80 is a LOT more better to drive around empty IMO. Better mileage, more fun, just all around better deal.

Somone on another forum asked where to get a DP tuner used. I said I'd sell mine for 600 bucks, and expect 3 weeks delivery time. The guy pointed out he could buy one brand new for only 325. XACKLY.
I'd just order a new one just like I have now from Jody. No questions in my mind whatsoever.

I have the Edge Juice W/ Attitude. Gotta say I love it alot. Espically how it will defuel its self for it won't harm anything. It is a great product if you have a stick. You are able to adjust the fuel pressure on it when you have low boost. From 1 (lowest smoke) all the way to 5 (most responsive) and and it makes a big difference. If you got a stick just take off in first untill around 8 mph. and then put it in fourth and just lay into it. Won't take off fast cause there is no boost... But you will just keep on smoking untill you let off the beepbeepbeepbeep thing... Gotta love it cause I don't have to be going fast to make it poor out the smoke. But the best part of that is the people behind you just fall way back cause of all the smoke.. Brings a smile everytime I do that....... Hope all works out for you
