A pyro measures exhaust gas temps, egt's. YOu don't want to run these sustained over 1300 degrees. The edge evolution does not come with a pyro, you would need to get the attitude monitor with it and it has digital readout for the boost and pyro and tranny temp.

There are cheaper alternatives to the attitude, just a plain set of gauges will give you the same readings. I personally don't let mine get over 1250 on the pyro, to each his own. I figure better safe than sorry. There are several other things to be gained with the attitude monitor, you'll have to research online for the specifics. It also depends on your budget.

Have edge evolution and edge attitude, love them both. Would recommend them to anyone. The attitude monitor has the gauges you need and teh protection you want. You could always go for an intake and an exhaust first. 2002 crew cab 4x4 edge evolution, edge juice with attitude, 4" turbo back exhaust, banks trans command and afe stage 2 intake

Thumbs up

I now have replaced the Super Chip with the Edge Juice with Attitude. Though the charts claim less HP gain than the Super Chip, they are rear wheel HP not flywheel HP. I love the ability to change the program with the push of a button and I like the gauges that the Attitude adds. I took it out for a drive up a grade but it goes to quick to run very far I like it alot!

I have the superchips programmer and am completely satisfied. I added the programmer and exhaust and air intake at the same time and have picked up about 3.5 mpg. The truck runs considerable better. The only thing I might suggest is to go with the TS chip. If I had it to do all over again I would go that route, if for nothing more than the ease of adjustability. I have yet to install my gauges, but I strongly recomend having them if your doing any towing at all. Better to play it safe than sorry. Good luck, and I know youll be happier with any programmer over the stock settings.

As long as we all go fast and blow smoke doing it, it's all gravy!

Cool programmers and chips

Twildman, I couldn't agree with you more. I raised the oil preassure, increased the pulse length and moved the timing up and there went the egts like clockwork.
