Just completed my variable resistor mod and its great.. what i did was bought a 10k audio potentiometer for 2.00 at radio shack some 12 gauge wire and spliced it into the IDM sensor and presto..Now all i got to do is trun the switch off and its stock...turn the switch up and the less resistence i get. works quite well.

So is this supposed to be like a variable hp chip? except its variable and not on click style settings if you know what it mean.

Sounds good. Whats the high and low resistances?

The highest setting is 10k being that its a set potentiometer but and the lowest is zero am guessing..when i started the truck the first time i put the knob in the middle then turned it one way and the truck was normal turned it the other way a juiced the injectors..then i turned a little bit more and the truck died, so am guessing its zero.

Am thinkin you mean like a resistor in the idm plug on a switch If so yea its like that but instead the resistor is replaced with a knob type adustment as to create more or less resistence.
