What are the gains for the TW tuner?
Im looking at getting the Tony Wildman tuner but on the sites that sell them, they dont really say what the power gains are. The only one they touch on is the tow setting, which for my truck would be 65ish. Does any one know what all of the other settings would put out? I would get the 6 setting: Stack, Econo, Daily, tow, street and exteme. Thanks in advance....
My truck is a 2000 F-2 4x4 crew |

I'm pretty sure the econ is 80, daily is 100, street is 120, extreme is 140 and I no idea what smoke is and tow I'm pretty sure you can get it in different hp levels.

Tony doesn't play the #'s game each tune is adjusted for the best performance for its intended usage not some arbitrary HP figure.

I know those #'s are on this forum somewhere, I have seen them but don't remember where. But as stated above, they would be different for each truck.
Just my $0.02. Forget stock and econo. I have econo, daily, tow, street, extreem, and smoke. Stock is what you have now. Once you try anything above that you will never use it again. Econo isn't much different. I use my daily setting 90% of the time and am seeing a 2 or 3 mpg gain and am enjoying a considerable differance over stock. I have noticed that when I do bump down to the econo setting I tend to be a little harder on the peddle due to the drop in performance. I'm sure this negates any gain in mpg I might have seen. I have been told by others that this is true, but, I personally haven't left it in econo long enough to verify. Last edited by WSStucker; 04-24-2009 at 08:20 AM. Reason: I can't spell |
