F5

I am looking at buying an F5 chip from DP Tuner. Can anyone with experience with one tell me what you like and don't like. This is a big chunk of change and I would like to hear some testimonials before I jump in and buy one. Thanks!

F5 is a winner

I waited two years to get my DP Tuner. Warranty and lack of money. I received it Saturday and installed it today (thanks Maintain). I only got the 80 econ tune. I noticed the difference backing out of the driveway. I grinned all day. I can't express how great it is. I had a 68 mustang and spent a ton of money to make it faster. And NEVER did i spend $300 and get that kind of increase. It is truly amazing. Buy it right now and you will NOT regret it.

Look into PHP's FU chip. Heard good things about it, and you can download 17(?) different tunes.

I've had my F5 chip for over two years now. My tunes are stock, 60 tow, 80 Econo, and 120 Performance. The chip was the best thing I did to the truck, both for performance and fuel economy. I run in the 120 tune all the time as I like the throttle response and MPG with that tune.

Overall I have nothing really negative to say about the F5. If I had to be really critical, I would say the only thing lacking from the F5 chip when I bought it was the mounting options. Now they have a couple mounting options as well as a guage pod style switch.

Look for used ones for sale. I may be putting one of mine up for sale shortly.

Been running mine for 2 years now and here is what I think
PROS
Power: Only have the 120 and stock but it is freakin awesome
MPG: Gained about 2mpg from stock on the 120 setting
Reliability: No issues yet, Just pay close attention to the instructions
EGTs: No really an issue while not towing, but you NEED a Pyro Meter

CONS:
Price: When you have something this good its a shame not to give it away. Its like if somebody invented a cure for cancer but charged 100 grand for it

Why should it be given away? Someone worked hard to get that right. I had a 68 mustang and NEVER spent $300 and got that king of gain. It had all the goodies. We should be happy for that kind of deal. After i installed mine(thanks to Maintains video), it is a steal and worth every penny and more than the $300.
