Unhappy DIY Boost fooler

Just completed the diy boost fooler and i am not to impressed. Dont know if i messed something up or what. I set the regulator at 20psi and took it for a spin and didnt feel any difference, does running a 3.9k make difference or what????

ya the DIY boost fooler "regulator style" is very hard to get set propperly. you need a 4.7v zener diode in your MAP sensor. if interested pm me Ill try to dig up the directions on this sight.

yea i know what you mean...I cant get my itp fooler or my diy ziener diode to solve my defuling at 70 mph...it may just be my junk edge givin me the problem but im gona keep messing with the conections of the diode.

ya mine did that too when i had a edge. you have to adjust your max EGTs on your attitude monitor. it will stop defueling. you will need to start paying attention to EGTs tho. its not boost that kicks the defuel on, its EGTs thru the edge. has nothing to do with the truck it self. the edge stuff is kinda wierd.

be careful, the one thing I miss about my edge was the defuel setting. it was great because I could SMASH on it and it would auto back off the fuel flow.

as long as it didnt throw a check engine light its working what kind of tunes do you have on the truck if you just have resistors i dont think thats enuff to get the truck to over boost

I have a nob type set at 20 but it doesnt work right just to lazy adjust on it. Its a pain to set then drive pull over adjust ans so on. or maybe its just the lazyness
