isspro tranny gauge
Lately I have been seeing my gauge readings flicker wheen going over a bump in the road. The need le may go up 20-60 degrees and back to normal readings (I think). I dont trust it anymore. I tightned the connections at the main junction box still nothing. Is this a bad gauge, sending unit? Please help.

Hmm, my tranny gauge does the same thing. I have made sure all the wires are tight and sealed and that I don't have any shorts in them. I can start the truck and be idleing and it will max out and then drop back down, then jump 60-70 degrees then level back out. Didn't mean to hi-jack your thread. Was just wondering the same thing though

Figured it out. loose butt connector coming off the sending unit. One of these days I'll do it right and solder them but its too hot today:
For now I just crimped it tighter.

90% of any gauge issues are loose connectors. Spend a little more time and money and get good connectors that have heat shrink and seal connections...
