questions about tw reburn

I already have Tonys tunes but i am considering sending it back for a reburn and i have a few questions.

1. What is the differance between heavy tow and tow. Is heavy tow for towing heavier loads or is it a hotter tune that should be used with lighter loads?

2. What do you guys prefer for daily driving? I have the economy tune now but its really a dog and im not sure how much better the mpg really are.

3. Which tune is better/faster race or extreme?

4. Is tony even working right now? I saw on his website something about a medical emergency? I hope he is ok.

5. Any other advice or suggestions.

I am wondering some of the same things. I have created the order to send mine back to be reburned. I just want mine changed. My daily tune runs great but it needs to shift different. I would not choose the economy tune ever again, only because its not very powerful and I am like a small child and like my exciting power. The street setting is just awesome and I dont ever use the extreme setting. I decided to get another setting to replace it but I dont remember what it is.

Let me know if you find anything out about tony.

what kind of mileage do you get with daily? does it smoke any?

I do get some smoke on daily and the mileage is ok. Its funny I usually drive on street because of the shifting and I get between 10-11 around town, so daily has got to be better I dont see nearly as much smoke in that setting lol.

i believe the heavy tow tune might be for sled pulling keeping the trans from shifting higher then 2nd gear not positive on that one

i would just run a daily tune

not sure, but i think the extreme tunes are usually just recommended for the track. .

The medical emergency you were referring to was his daughter was in the hospitle. i haven't heard an update on that though. He was having someone else write his chips for him. same files so its nothing different.

Running Tony's "Daily" tune I am seeing a 3 mpg bump over stock. I have the econo setting but never use it. I have heard from others that depending on how you drive econo might even be worse than daily b/c is is slower and you end up being heavier on the pedal. Where the daily setting is faster so you are lighter on the pedal.

Tony's daughter had a brain tumor. Last I heard she was recovering but I haven't heard anything lately. Maybe Raul will chime in.

i use my heavy tow all the time here on the farm and never had any problems (unless you think 240* is too hot for tranny )
Daily is what i drive w/ 99% of time, last tank hand calculated to be 18.5 mpg
i'm still working on some pics for you of my bumper, just been busy getting the planter together and stuff
